Clinically Fit is committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible company. We have taken many steps since introducing The Xtensor including:

  • The Xtensor is “Made in the USA” in a certified green facility that generates an increasing amount of energy using solar power technology.
  • The Xtensor is made from recyclable materials including The Xtensor fingerbands which are made from hypoallergenic non latex materials.
  • The Xtensor is assembled through a program that employs functionally handicapped individuals with strong desires to work each having unique skills and capabilities. The organization is called AHRC and is located throughout the New York Area.

The primary mission at Clinically Fit was to design a product that applies time tested principles regularly used in sports conditioning and rehabilitation to the muscles, tendons and joints of the upper extremity.

After three years of research and development The Xtensor was released in 2007 and has changed the way people deal with common issues such as repetitive motion disorders, finger joint stiffness.

The medical community has been using makeshift devices such as rubber bands and putty to perform finger extension exercises for many many years. The Xtensor replaces those makeshift devices with a product that is specifically designed for this purpose and as a consequence provides several other significant benefits for users whether medical or performance enhancing.

The Xtensor is the winner of the prestigious Medical Design Excellence Award, and is the first product to correctly counteract the repetitive gripping actions our hands go through every day strengthening the muscles that open the hands improving core strength and stability in the wrists and elbows allowing us to better handle repetitive stress and improve dexterity in the fingers.
